A time of reflection and celebration – PaperKite Newsletter July 2021

Hey there!

In the spirit of Matariki, we’ve drafted this newsletter with the intention of reflection and celebration. This time next year, we’ll be reflecting and celebrating with a new long weekend, but this year, we’d love to share some reflections and celebrations of our own – and share some of our knowledge with you, our clients and friends of PaperKite.

Congratulations to IT Heavy Hitters

Following the cancellation of last year’s event, IT Heavy Hitters were keen for this year’s event to smash their 2019 fundraising total. We’re delighted they increased their fundraising efforts by $40k – epic! Money raised goes straight to supporting the worthy causes of The Key to Life charitable Trust.

Thanks for coming!

We’ve had the pleasure of hosting clients, friends and the local IT community recently at our after hours events celebrating Global Accessibility Awareness Day and Techweek.

Our Experience Director, Andrew Millar and TTC’s Global Accessibility Lead, Samantha Dancey ran a session on digital accessibility – great to see so many company’s prioritising accessibility for their products.

We also hosted a Techweek talk about Privacy-first by Design – presented by our UX Strategist, Q Walker and Tech Director, Rob Holmes. The audience was really receptive to the insights we shared about user privacy being top of mind when we built our Rippl app last year. If you missed this session, check out our blog post summarising our key points.

Celebrating our work

Christchurch Casino Limited has been a long time client of PaperKite. We’ve recently overhauled their member loyalty programme, with programme members and our client equally delighted with the end result. We love working this way with our clients – check out our approach and more here.

You’ll know that we love building mobile apps, but we realised we don’t often talk about the process. If you’re keen to know more about our process and how we approach this work with our clients, read on!

The latest in our Rippl app journey

We continue to support nationwide digital contact tracing, in our role as a Ministry of Health integration partner, by allowing users to easily exchange information with the Ministry when they need to.

Phase 1 integration is now complete with automated event notification functionality live. We’re continuing to work with the Ministry team on further integration opportunities.

Wishing you a successful week ahead, The PaperKite Senior Leadership Team
